Join this session for tips on how to use your camera settings to creatively capture nature in a visually interesting way. We will be looking at composition, focus, and colour.

Many professional offices and places of business have large prints gracing their wall space of things such as fields of flowers, a butterfly perched on a leaf, and a single dew drop on a rose petal. These beautiful images are all around us in nature. It just takes that special "eye" to not only see it but to capture it in a way that will turn that simple little piece of nature into a beautiful piece of art. We will learn how to use different angles, light and shadows, and settings to make subjects pop.

Join Jenny to learn the basics of wildlife photography in this beautiful setting. By the end of the session you'll master some simple techniques that will get you great results, including composition techniques, and using manual settings.
Although you only need minimum equipment for this session, I highly recommend bringing a telephoto lens that goes to 200mm. If you are working with a heavy lens, I also recommend bringing a tripod with a ball joint pivot.

Really great session with Mike Veitch along the front at Roker and in Roker Park. It was good to talk about close-up, macro and micro photography and shares thoughts and ideas. I was on a photo workshop in the park with about 8 others. We set up for the night in the Cathedral Overlook campground. At about 3:30 am, the leader got us up and we drove, then hiked to this spot. We took astro shots, then waited in place for a couple hours until early light on the cathedral formations. This is was a merging of the two exposures that created this image.
